The drop and withdrawal dates listed above are for courses that run the entire length of the stated session. Short-term courses have shorter course drop and withdrawal dates. All individual Summer course drop and withdrawal dates appear on the student schedule.
Registrar's Office Information
Periods for changing schedules (adds, drops, and changes of sections or credits) are listed below and in the Academic Calendar for each semester and the summer sessions. Courses dropped during the drop period are not reflected on the student's academic record, and tuition and fees may be adjusted as a result.
Immediately following the end of the drop period, students may withdraw from a course before 60% of the course duration has passed. A grade of "W" will be recorded on the academic record. After 60% of the course duration has passed, a student may not withdraw. Tuition and fees will not be adjusted for course withdrawals during this withdrawal period. Course withdrawals can be processed online through PAWS or in the Registrar's Office.

Total Withdrawal from the University
To withdraw totally from the University, a student must obtain the appropriate withdrawal form from the Center for Academic Enrichment, secure the appropriate approval signatures, and return the completed form immediately to the Registrar's Office for processing. Total withdrawals will not be processed after the last scheduled class day of the semester.
Final Examination Schedule
The following procedures apply to all courses during the final week of the semester:
- This final examination week is part of the regular semester and students should be in attendance even when final examinations are not given. The final examination may be eliminated by an instructor consistent with department procedure. Classes are normally held even though examinations may not be given.
- Courses for less than four credit hours shall meet for one period; courses for four or more credit hours may meet for two periods.
- Classes shall meet only at the time indicated on the examination schedule.
- Any approved exception of regulations 1, 2, and 3 above (e.g., special types of examinations, which need time or special type of examinations) shall be announced the second week of class and communicated in writing to the appropriate dean.
- For classes that have meeting times not indicated below, students should refer to the course syllabus.
Inside the boxes on the schedule below, find the interval which includes the regular starting time of the class and from that box read upward and left to determine the time and day of exam. Classes will meet for the final exam period in regularly assigned classrooms. Classes beginning at or after 5 p.m. must test on their regularly scheduled class day from 6:00 - 8:20 p.m.
