Maureen Williams

Bio

Maureen Williams completed her M.A. in Spanish in the Department of Literatures, Cultures and Languages at the University of Connecticut. She earned her B.A. in Geography and International Development Studies with First Class Honours at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. While completing her B.A., she had the opportunity to live in Panama, where she worked in the Panamanian governmental organization responsible for overseeing nutrition and food security programs.

Ms. Williams has taught Spanish and English as a Second Language at universities, community colleges, and community-based organizations. She especially enjoys working with beginner language learners. Her professional interests include intercultural communication and contemporary Latino culture in the United States. Her most recent experience prior to joining the Department of English and Foreign Languages at CSU-Pueblo was teaching English literacy to Latino immigrants with Junta for Progressive Action in New Haven, Connecticut.​
