ABOUT ME
I am Lauren Garcia, a Pueblo native and excited to help you on your academic journey at the University!
WHY CSU-PUEBLO
I was born and raised in Pueblo. I stayed for college, as it was super affordable here. Totally worth it, as I was able to graduate with no student loans! I stayed to be close to family and because of the affordability of buying a house here. I love the small hometown feel, and not having to drive hours in traffic to and from work each day.

Fun Facts
- I went shark cage diving in Hawaii . . . it was exhilarating!
- I taught myself to play the ukulele one summer via YouTube! Not great still, but it was a goal of mine.
- I am a graduate of CSU Pueblo!
Not So Fun Facts
- I lived out my Joanna-Gaines-Fixer-Upper dreams and completely flipped a house with the help of my husband and family. Interior decorating is my jam!
- I was a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher before becoming an Academic Success Coach.
- I changed my major from Nursing to Elementary Education, and now don't work in either field. Don't feel bad if you don't know what you want to do right away. Your experiences in life will help guide you to where you need to be.
