A Colorado resident for 42 years, I was born in the Bethesda Naval Hospital, Maryland, and lived in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, Tyler, Texas, and Youngstown, New York, where I learned to sail. I spent most of my first 19 years training as a pianist. I love American history, hand-bookbinding and restoration, and my Siamese cat, Buster. I am married to my husband of 35 years, Jim, have three grown children, and six grandchildren. Lately, I have been learning sourdough baking, and I am developing a seed "library" from my "black thumb" gardening attempts these past three years.
