Program Pathways
The Nurse Educator, Master of Science Online Program offers two Program Pathways based on previous education and academic entrance criteria that support student achievement at a professional level.
Pathway One: ADN to Master of Science
This pathway is designed for students who have met one of the following criteria:
- Student has an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Student is currently working toward an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) and will complete it before the last semester of the Online Program
This pathway is not for students who already have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree.
Pathway One is a 48 credit hour program which results in both BSN and MS degrees. However, students must obtain their RN License and complete 2,000 hour (1 year full-time) experience during their pathway to successfully reach completion of Online Program.
Pathway Two: BSN to Master of Science
Pathway Two is designed for students who have a Bachelor of Sience in Nursing (BSN) Degree. This pathway is a 30 credit hour graduate program which results in an Master of Science degree with an emphasis as a Nurse Educator.
There are higher admissions requirements for this pathway as a graduate field of study.
