Master of Education

Teacher in front of the classroom giving class

Program Overview

The mission of the Master of Education Online Program is to apply current research on teaching, learning, and system change to prepare Master Teachers for PK-12 classrooms.

Our graduates are leaders who possess expertise in the content area in which they teach and in the pedagogy of teaching and learning. Moreover, they apply this knowledge in their own classrooms, modeling best practices in instruction and assessment.

This online program is composed of three key areas:

  1. Core Courses (11 credits): Focus on research and professional change;
  2. Pedagogy (9 credits): Focus on literacy, differentiation of instruction, and technology; and
  3. Emphasis Area (18 credits): Selected by the graduate student.

"The Online Program is very well organized, which makes it very easy to stay on track. This is accomplished by a great structure and great communication"
