Public Management

*Offered starting in Fall 2021

The MBA with a Public Management Emphasis provides students with skills and knowledge that will lead to career success in either the public or private sector. Governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations are increasingly looking for leaders who can navigate an ever-changing political and economic environment. Businesses, in turn, value leaders who understand public policy and can help their organization make a positive social impact. Through training in public finance, leadership studies, policy analysis, communication, human resources, and other topics, this 12-month online program prepares students to effectively work both within and across all types of organizations. Students will be prepared to make a positive impact, for their career, their company, and their community.

This program is ideal for pre-professional and in-career students alike. Pre-professional students, from all backgrounds and majors, can use their public management emphasis to gain a rewarding career in many different types of organizations—social service non-profits, arts organizations, federal or state governmental agencies, and businesses that work closely with government, to name a few. In-career students, in turn, can leverage the graduate degree to advance into a role with more responsibility and leadership opportunity.
