Apply For Financial Aid

You must first be accepted for admission in a degree program before you can be considered for Federal Financial Aid. Once you are accepted, contact our Financial Aid department and will go over your financial aid options with you.

Steps to Apply for Financial Aid:

  1. Complete you Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and use our school code of

  2. Once completed, you will receive a Federal Student Air Report from the U.S. Department of Education which will also be submitted to any schools of interest you listed on the FAFSA.

  3. If your data is selected for verification you will be required to submit a verification form, a copy of your transcript from the IRS and possibly other documents that might be requested by the Student Financial Services department.

  4. You will then receive a Financial Aid Package Notification once all the required information is received.

  5. If you wish to receive a Federal Student loan, you will be required to complete a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and Direct Loan Entrance Counseling through www.studentloans.gov.

Eligibility Requirements for Financial Aid

You must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible for federal financial aid:

  1. Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
  2. If required, be registered for the selective service
  3. Have a high school diploma or GED
  4. Be enrolled as a degree seeking student
  5. You cannot be in default on any previous student loans or have borrowed more than the loan limits under the Title IV programs at any institution. Plus you can not owe an overpayment on any Title IV loan or grant programs
  6. You must maintain good academic standing in your program and make satisfactory progress toward the degree you are seeking
  7. If you wish to qualify for Federal Direct loans you must be enrolled at least half-time at the time of disbursement
