Rachel Weber

Regional Band Craftsman, Vocalist & Staff Sergeant, USAF

"The Music Education program at CSU-Pueblo provided me with a variety of skills and career opportunities upon graduation. The combination of private voice and piano lessons, solo and choral performance opportunities, and a variety of music and education-focused classes enhanced my outlook on careers in music. I auditioned for a vocalist position in the USAF Band career field shortly after graduation and I was offered an opportunity to serve our great country as an Airman Musician.  The mentorship, dedication, and guidance provided by the faculty encouraged me to pursue a career in music. 12 years later, I am still proud to serve in the USAF and continue to reference the knowledge and skills honed during my studies at CSU-Pueblo."

Jeremy Maytum

Director of Communications for Athletic Bands

“The Music Education/Performance program at CSU-Pueblo helped me prepare for a rewarding career in both higher education as well as creating my own path in the highly competitive field of being a professional musician. One of the cornerstones of the program is the incredibly supportive and knowledgeable faculty. No matter what question or challenge that was in front of me, there was always a faculty member available to guide me. Additionally, their ability to create a wealth of opportunities for me while I was a student was invaluable, in part by the plethora of personal and professional connections they had within the area and industry as a whole. From these connections, I was able to support myself during my time in school by teaching and performing in the area. To say I am grateful for the experience and training I gained at CSU-Pueblo is a true understatement, and it is through this experience that eventually prepared me for graduate school and beyond.”
