Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the most prestigious award presented each year by the faculty of the Department of Mass Communications and Center for New Media. Only a select few department alumni have received the honor out of over 1,500 graduates of the program.

Honorees must have accomplished a distinguished career in a mass communications discipline, from the local to national level, with a small or large organization. In most cases, the Distinguished Alumni Award is presented yearly, and the honoree is recognized at the department's annual spring honors and scholarship award ceremony.
