ICR Conference 2018

Exploring All Things Cannabis: Research in Action

ICR Conference 2018 LogoOn behalf of the ICR Conference Committee and Steering Committee, thank you for attending this year's ICR conference!

The ICR 2018 conference attracted more than 400 attendees and researchers from every field of cannabis expertise. Held April 26-28, 2018, the 3-day forum included researchers from 20 universities, representatives from five government agencies, and a host of industry experts. Presentations, panels, and posters covered the scientific, medical, industrial, legal, economic, and social elements of cannabis research.

The ICR Conference Committee is grateful to Dr. Audra Stinchcomb for providing the conference's Opening Plenary. A former CSU-Pueblo student, Dr. Stinchcomb is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Her plenary address focused on transdermal prodrugs, microneedle-enhanced delivery, and translational research models.

The ICR Conference Committee is also thrilled to have hosted an internationally recognized authority on endocannabinoid pharmacology, Dr. Vincenzo Di Marzo, as the conference's Second Annual Mechoulam Lecturer. A prolific author, Dr. Di Marzo is among the most-cited researchers in the world, with more than 60,000 citations. He currently serves as the Canada Excellence Research Chair on the Microbiome-Endocannabinoidome Axis in Metabolic Health at Université Laval, Quebec City, Canada and Research Director and Coordinator of the Endocannabinoid Research Group at the Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Pozzuoli, Napoli, Italy.

Conference plenary and keynote presentations will be available shortly. The ICR Conference Committee has requested that presenters submit presentation materials, which will be made available via the University's digital repository.

Save the dates of April 25-27, 2019 for next year's ICR conference. A call for abstracts for ICR 2019 will be announced by the end of summer 2018.
