Admissions Requirements

Honors Program students are selected from hundreds of applicants based on the promise of academic excellence.

Incoming freshmen are invited to apply if they graduated high school with a GPA of 3.8, or a minimum combined ACT score of 26, or a minimum combined SAT score of 1200. An index score determines final eligibility.

Current CSU-Pueblo undergraduates and undergraduate transfer students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 may also apply to the program.

General Requirements

University Honors Minor Program students must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA at CSU-Pueblo to remain in good standing in the program. To receive program credit, each required Honors Minor course must be passed with a B (3.0) or better.

Application Process

The Honors Program sends out invites to graduating High School students who meet the qualifications.

For students, currently enrolled or transferring to CSU-Pueblo, if he or she meets the requirements they are welcome to submit two letters of recommendations from college professors.

If students do not receive an invitation they are welcome to contact the program director.

Scholarship Information

In addition to the scholarships offered by the university, honors students are eligible for a housing scholarship and may be eligible for a merit scholarship. To be eligible, students must complete the FAFSA and the foundation scholarship.

Vaccination Requirement and Exemptions

The university's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy includes the COVID-19 vaccination unless an exemption is filed.
