    Accreditor Complaints for All Students

    Colorado State University-Pueblo is accredited through the CSUS by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a commission member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This association is one of six regional accrediting bodies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. 34 CFR §668.43(b) requires (this CSUS School) to provide the information for students or prospective students to file complaints with the accrediting body.     Colorado State University-Pueblo desires to resolve student grievances, complaints and concerns in an expeditious, fair and amicable manner. Distance education students who desire to resolve a grievance should contact the appropriate office (Extended Studies, Financial Aid Office, Student Affairs, etc.).

    If an issue cannot be resolved internally, you may file a complaint with the state in which you reside. The Student Grievance contact information for individual states is available below.     Colorado Students

    34 CFR §668.43(b) requires Colorado State University-Pueblo to provide students and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with the state’s approval or licensing entity. In Colorado, this entity is the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE), a regulatory body operated by the Colorado Department of Education. The instructions for filing complaints with CCHE can be found on their website: http://highered.colorado.gov/Academics/Complaints/default.html. They can also be reached at the following phone numbers: 303.866.2723 and 303.866.4266.

    Note: The first requirement under CCHE guidelines is that the complainant exhausts all opportunities for resolution at the institution in question before filing a complaint with CCHE.
