Athletic Training

initial Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education Logo

The CSU-Pueblo Undergraduate Athletic Training Program obtained its initial Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accreditation in 2004 and is currently accredited through 2019.  Currently the program is completing the self-study report and is anticipating a Fall 2018 site visit for reaccreditation.

The last cohort for the current Undergraduate Athletic Training Program has been accepted for the Fall 2018 academic year.

“Upon receiving approval of the MS in Athletic Training by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) which is expected no later than September 2018, the AT Program will begin the Substantive Change process to move the program to the masters degree level.  The MS in AT Program is scheduled to begin Summer 2019.  Submission of the substantive change document does not guarantee that the program will become an accredited masters degree level program.  Students that graduate from the program prior to accreditation WILL NOT be eligible to sit for the credentialing examination for athletic trainers and will not be eligible for licensure in most states.”

Students interested in Athletic Training should enroll in the EXHPR Pre-Athletic Training Emphasis.
