Technology 164BSylvester A. Kalevela is a professor of Civil Engineering Technology and chair of the Department of Engineering Technology, Construction and Automotive Industry Management at CSU-Pueblo. He has been teaching for fourteen years. Prior to teaching, he worked in industry for twelve years, including four years for a city, four years for a state and four years for an engineering consulting company. He obtained a B.S.E (civil engineering) from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, a M. S. in civil engineering from Virginia Tech., and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Arizona State University.
Dr. Kalevela is a licensed professional engineer and a fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society for Engineering Education, and a charter member of the Transportation and Development Institute. He is also a member of Chi Epsilon and Tau Alpha Pi honor societies. -
Derek Lopez

Library and Academic Resource Center 151Dr. Derek Lopez is the director of the Center for Academic Enrichment at CSU-Pueblo. He earned his Ph.D. at Stanford University from the School of Education, Psychological Studies Department. His research and practice is focused upon adolescents as they transition into institutions of higher education. Dr. Lopez earned his BA from CSU-Pueblo in Psychology.

Psychology 165Fawn-Amber Montoya is an assistant professor of history at Colorado State University Pueblo and the coordinator of Chicano Studies. Her research interests include U.S. Southwest, labor, gender, and ethnic history. She received her MA and PhD in History from the University of Arizona.

Buell Communications Center 103Leticia Steffen is an associate professor in the Department of Mass Communications and Center for New Media at Colorado State University-Pueblo. She joined the CSU-Pueblo faculty in 2004. A native of New Hampton, Iowa, Steffen completed her bachelor's degree at Saint Louis University, working as a correspondent for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Suburban Journals of St. Louis before moving to Colorado to complete a masters degree in mass communications and journalism studies at the University of Denver. Before moving to Pueblo, Steffen worked as a writer and editor in the Denver area. Steffen teaches the introduction to journalism, feature writing, advanced media lab, women and media, and gender and film courses at CSU-Pueblo.
