Why Utilize the Science Learning Center?

The SLC provides a robust hub of science student support at Colorado State University Pueblo. The SLC has on average 3,700 student visits a semester, and a student satisfaction rating of 4.86 (out of 5).The following table summarizes student performance from Fall 2017 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics courses in which the SLC logged more than 50 visits. In the following courses, students were broken into two cohorts: those that utilized the SLC for support, and those that did not use the SLC for support. Students who utilize the SLC for support in their science courses are statistically more likely to succeed in their courses. Utilizing the SLC early in the semester and regularly increases the likelihood of students passing their classes. Hedge your bets and utilize support available!
