The Cinema of Latin America class (SPN482) cordially invites the entire CSU-P community to its Latin American Film Series this fall semester. The next film will be "Flores de otro Mundo/Flowers from Another World).
Here's a short summary of the movie: "Patricia, a woman from the Dominican Republic, needs a home and an economic security that her illegal status in Madrid does not provide her. Milady, twenty, born in Havana, is dying to travel the world. Marirosi has a job, a home, and the most complete solitude just like Alfonso, Damián and Carmelo, men from St. Eulalia, a village lacking both marrying women and a future. A bachelors' party forces the encounter between them and the beginning of this bittersweet story of sharing a living." We hope to see you at our language center (PSY147)!
