DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Community Forum

March 15, 2017

06:00 PM - 07:30 PM

General Classroom Building, Room 110

The Department of Social Work and the Center for Social and Economic Justice in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Colorado State University-Pueblo will sponsor a community forum at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 in General Classroom Building 110. The forum seeks to find common ground where the student Social Work Association can assist agencies in the area with their needs. This forum will focus on "knowing your rights" regarding being a DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) student or an undocumented immigrant in the community, and will address the rights for those who may be stopped or confronted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Angel Hernandez from Mi Familia Vota will present as well as CSU-Pueblo Director of Diversity and Inclusion Jennifer De Luna.
