At CSU-Pueblo we are committed to helping students explore financing options to help them achieve their educational goals. Approximately 80 percent of our students receive some type of assistance. We hope that you find our website (along with your PAWS account) helpful in answering any questions you may have about financial aid or the financial aid process. If you still have questions, you can also speak to someone directly during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - no appointment is necessary.
CSU-Pueblo has teamed with American Student Assistance to bring the SALT program to campus. SALT is free for our students & alumni and provides financial literacy modules, scholarship searches, internship & job searches, and discounts from partner companies. Plus once registered, you can manage your student loans all in one place (see your payment and repayment plan options) and have access to expert student loan counselors!

Navigating the Annual Financial Aid Process
- Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov; this will require applying for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov (both yourself and your parent if you are a dependent student) if this is your first time completing a FAFSA. The CSU-Pueblo school code for the FAFSA is 001365. (For assistance check out this video link).
- Complete your CSU-Pueblo Scholarship Application.
- If you are a Colorado resident and working on your undergraduate degree, complete the COF application.*
Remember - The priority deadline for the FAFSA and CSU-Pueblo Scholarship Application is March 1st - prior to the new academic year’s fall semester!
*Indicates these steps are required one-time only, not annually
