The mission of the Colorado State University-Pueblo Student Counseling Center is to provide a professional and confidential setting that meets the psychological, emotional, and developmental needs of students as they pursue their academic goals. The staff at the Student Counseling Center will help the student address personal issues that interfere with learning and personal development. The Student Counseling Center also acts as a resource for faculty and staff to assist with their interactions with students. The counseling experience is intended to honor and support the client's values and beliefs through guiding and supporting the client's exploration. When this mission is fulfilled, the quality of students’ experience at Colorado State University-Pueblo is enhanced, and they are more likely to achieve academic and personal success. Student Counseling Center's mission goals include the promotion of the psychological and emotional wellbeing of students, and enhancement of students’ academic and personal functioning.
Ms. Jan DeBoer, L.C.S.W.
Ms. DeBoer holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. a Master of Education in Special Education and Rehabilitation from Memphis State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Ms. DeBoer comes to CSU-Pueblo with over 25 years of serving as therapist for individuals and families, including treatment of adults, adolescents, and children who have experienced significant traumatic events. Ms. DeBoer is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado.
Ms. Jaelee Fetrow, L.C.S.W.
Ms. Fetrow holds a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University. Ms Fetrow has provided counseling and therapy services for the past 12 years. She has served as a family and individual therapist in a treatment center for children and as a therapist for families, individuals, couples, and children. Ms. Fetrow is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado.
Ms. Cori Cameron, M.A., L.P.C.
Ms. Cameron holds a Master's in Agency Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from what was once the University of Southern Colorado and now CSU-Pueblo. She has post-graduate work in Marriage and Family Therapy and Child Custody Services. Ms. Cameron has over 25 years experience counseling adults, couples, youth and children. She has taught for CSU-Pueblo and Adams State College. Ms. Cameron is licensed as a Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado.
